The role of a Room Parent at Wade Thomas:
- Supporting your teacher!
- Organize class parent volunteer sign-ups for Back to School Night
- Recruiting or filling in the gaps of the class positions that do not have a parent volunteer.
- Communication to parents regarding school, class, community events and happenings
- communication via email, volunteerspot/shutterfly & classroom signage
- Help your teacher to manage class web page
- Attend WTPA monthly meetings whenever possible.
- Teacher Appreciation Lunches
- Organize teacher gifts (Teacher Appreciation Week, birthday, holiday and end of year)
- Organize parent socials (nights out w/class or grade)
