To the stars! This week our students learned about major stars and constellations, and then proceeded to create their own: a tube for viewing and constellation cards with punched holes. They can make their own at home following these instructions found online.
We also taught how humans have used stars for navigation. Kids learned cardinal directions, how to find a North Star and practiced using a compass.
And for those who wanted to move around a bit during their lunch break, there was a game of playing with a large inflatable constellation ball.
