We celebrated the week of Hour of Code by introducing the fundamentals of code to our elementary school students. Kids broke down the path of a “mouse” through a “maze” (10×10 taped squares on the carpet) into steps (“forward”, “turn left”, etc.) using prepared code cards and adding their own code on the whiteboard.
Kids also played with real robots (such as coding Dash to draw, etc.) and drew pixellated art on graph paper.
Play: Code a Lego Maze.
Visit: Computer History Museum and the next Maker Fair in May.
Thank you to all the amazing parents who made this lunchtime lab possible.
