With so much unusual rain, we focused on the properties of water this week.

Aside from free play using spray bottles, pipettes, beakers, and a small pool filled with water, we did some specific experiments such as: using pipettes to measure water droplets in a beaker, breaking water tension with soap, and observing the water flow from containers. We briefly touched on the principle of the communicating vessels.

Students, in addition, built paper origami boats and floated them in the water-filed pool. Using toothpicks dipped in detergent, they attempted to move the boats along and have a race.
